One of the most common questions I get from clients at my Suwanee, Georgia boudoir studio is: “What should I wear for my session?” The truth is, there’s no single “right” outfit. The best outfits are the ones that make you feel confident, comfortable, and authentically yourself.
Here are some of my favorite outfit ideas to inspire you:
A matching bra and panty set is timeless for a reason. Whether lacy and delicate or bold and strappy, lingerie photographs beautifully and instantly elevates the boudoir vibe.
Bodysuits are one of my most recommended pieces for first-time clients. They’re flattering on every body type, hug your curves in all the right places, and can range from elegant to edgy depending on the style.
Boudoir isn’t all about lace. A soft sweater, an oversized button-down shirt, or even a favorite pair of jeans can create intimate, relaxed images that feel personal and authentic.
Flowy slips, silky robes, or sheer cover-ups can add movement and a touch of glamour to your photos. They also give you layering options, which makes your session more versatile.
Don’t underestimate the power of accessories. Heels, thigh-high stockings, jewelry, or even hats can change the mood of a look entirely. Props like books, leather jackets, or even a motorcycle helmet can also make the session unique to you.
While not required, some clients choose to explore implied or tasteful nude poses. Draped sheets, soft lighting, and creative posing can make these images breathtakingly beautiful while keeping them elegant. Remember: nudity is always optional, you decide what feels comfortable.
Bring variety: Mix lingerie, casual looks, and something bold.
Stick to what feels like you: If you don’t normally wear super strappy lingerie, try a bodysuit or soft slip instead.
Choose colors that flatter you: Black and jewel tones are always stunning, but soft pastels and neutrals can be equally gorgeous.
Don’t overpack: A handful of well-chosen outfits is better than a suitcase full of pieces you won’t use.
At my boudoir studio in Suwanee, GA, I’ll help guide you through wardrobe choices and styling so you never feel lost or unsure. Whether you want classic lingerie, cozy sweaters, or something totally unique, we’ll create a set of looks that feel true to you and make you look absolutely stunning.
