The answer? Boudoir is a full experience, not just a quick photoshoot. At Love My Body Portrait Studio in Suwanee, GA, we create a luxury, empowering day you’ll remember forever. It’s not just about taking beautiful photos; it’s about making space for confidence, self-love, and transformation.

Let me walk you through the timeline and how to prepare, so you know exactly what to expect.

How Long Does a Boudoir Session Last?

At Love My Body Portrait Studio, full boudoir sessions typically last from 9:00 AM until 3:00 or 4:00 PM. That might sound like a long day, but every part of it is intentional.

Here’s how it’s broken down:

💄 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Hair and Makeup

Your day starts with pampering. We work with professional hair and makeup artists who specialize in soft glam, natural looks, and styles that highlight your features while keeping you feeling like yourself. This is also a time to relax, sip a warm drink, and ease into the day.

📸 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM: The Photoshoot Begins

After your styling is complete, we head into the shoot. I guide you through each pose, facial expression, and set so that you never feel awkward or unsure. We’ll use multiple backdrops, outfits, and lighting styles to give you a variety of looks. Whether you want bold and sexy, soft and romantic, or strong and powerful, we’ll capture the vibe that feels most like you.

🥗 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Lunch Break

Around noon, we pause for an hour lunch. I’ll recommend nearby restaurants. This time is yours to refresh, reflect, and enjoy a moment to yourself.

🖼 1:00 PM – 3:00 or 4:00 PM: Image Reveal and Ordering Session

After lunch, you return to the studio for your image reveal. This is a powerful moment. Many clients feel emotional seeing themselves in this new light. You’ll view your fully curated gallery and choose your favorite images. I’ll walk you through album, folio box, and wall art options so we can create tangible artwork you’ll cherish forever.

What Should I Bring to My Boudoir Session?

You don’t need to bring much, but the right preparation makes a big difference. Here’s a simple checklist to help you feel confident and ready:

Wardrobe:

• 2–4 outfits you love (lingerie, robes, bodysuits, crop tops, or even something cozy)
• Nude and black underwear options
• Heels or bare feet (both are great in photos)
• Accessories like jewelry, garters, or stockings if you want variety

Extras:

• A comfy outfit to arrive in
• Snacks or water for in-between (I do provide these as well)
• Lip balm or touch-up makeup (though most of that is handled here)
• Any personal items you want featured (letter, partner’s shirt, wedding veil, etc.)

We also have a client wardrobe in-studio with beautiful pieces you can borrow. Don’t worry if you’re not sure what to wear. I’ll help you pick pieces that flatter your body and match the mood you want to create.

Do I Need to Know How to Pose?

Absolutely not. Most clients come in saying, “I’m not photogenic” or “I don’t know how to pose.” That’s perfectly normal.

I guide you through every single pose, down to your fingertips. I’ll coach your expressions, your movement, and your angles so you feel supported and confident the entire time.

You are never alone in front of the camera. I’m here to bring out your inner bombshell and you might just surprise yourself with how naturally it happens.
