Male Portrait and Boudoir Sessions

When people hear the phrase male boudoir, they often imagine a very specific type of session. But the truth is, a male boudoir or portrait session can be anything you want it to be.
It’s about showcasing your essence, your passions, and your personality.
Recently, I had the opportunity to photograph a client in Suwanee, Georgia (just north of Atlanta) who brought in an incredible collection of antique weapons, boxes, and props for his session. He wore a classic black button-down shirt paired with a unique Australian leather hat, and together with his antique pieces, we created a timeless, almost old-world look. These portraits weren’t about being “sexy” in the traditional sense. He wasn’t shirtless or posed in a sultry way. Instead, they highlighted his interests, his strength, and the things he loves most in life.
We also mixed things up with another side of his personality which is his love for motorcycles. For that portion of the shoot, he put on his leather jacket and helmet, and we captured both strong, detailed portraits.
To round out the session, we slowed down with some lounging portraits. He was relaxed with books, whiskey, and just a pillow in some cases as well as some close-up detail shots, and a softer feel. Then, to finish things off, I took him outside in a red plaid shirt, handed him one of my handcrafted axes, and let him chop some wood. Those images ended up being some of my absolute favorites: rugged, masculine, and authentic. He looked incredibly handsome, and the fact that he had fun with it made the results even better.
What I love about this session is that it proves there’s no one way to do male boudoir or portrait photography. It doesn’t have to be serious, and it doesn’t have to be overly posed or “stuffy.” You can bring items that are meaningful to you whether that’s antique weapons, motorcycles, books, or even something quirky and we’ll design a session that feels completely unique to you.
If you’re in Suwanee, Georgia, or the surrounding areas north of Atlanta, and you’ve been curious about male boudoir or portrait photography, I’d love to create a session that captures your story. Bring what makes you you, and let’s make it into art!
